“While still critically ill, he has demonstrated that he appears to be neurologically intact,” a statement from the team said. “His lungs continue to heal and he is making steady progress.”
According to the most recent information from family members, Hamlin could open his eyes and respond yesterday night. Not only was Damar responsive, but he was also able to grip the hands of his family members last night.

After tackling Tee Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals, Damar stood up but suddenly fell to the ground. The medical staff was called which gave CPR to the player for 10 minutes.
Later on the same day, The bills issued a statement Hamlin is transferred to the UC Medical Center for further examination and medical care where he is in critical condition.
